There is no doubt that the last two years have required all of us to adapt and be flexible, both at work and in our personal lives. This is why we put in place an exceptional measure during the pandemic to allow you to take a break and take care of yourself.
Since this situation and its impact on our mental and physical health are not entirely behind us, and in recognition of your continued efforts, we are pleased to announce that we are once again offering two days dedicated to your well-being this fiscal year. We hope you will continue to enjoy these days which are currently offered in addition to the many other tools and resources available to support your well-being and to enhance your employee experience, all to make CBC/Radio-Canada an even better place to work.
What Is It?
Two paid days of leave that can be used as time dedicated to your well-being, to rest and to promote an optimal headspace when you are working.
Who Is It For?
These days are offered to all permanent or contract employees, including temporary staff who have been working on a consistent basis over the last few months and are expected to work similar hours moving forward (eligibility will be validated by the manager).
How Can They Be Used?
These days can be taken in half or full days and must be taken by March 31, 2023 (by recording the Well-being Day code on your timecard).
- They are effective immediately.
- They can be combined with annual leave or time in lieu.
- They must be planned in advance. Be sure to have your request pre-approved by your manager.
- They cannot be carried over to the 2023-2024 fiscal year, nor can they be paid out if not used.
Your well-being, your health and your safety continue to be our top concerns. That’s why we invite you to plan these days now to recharge, and to make the most of all the well-being resources available to you.
Have a great summer!
