At the closing of the candidacy period for the three positions of National Officers at APS, the three incumbents filling the jobs as President, Secretary and Treasurer were elected by acclamation.
The National President, Stéphane Désautels, was occupying the presidency of the Association, succeeding to Mario Poudrier, who retired from CBC in 2019. Stéphane was elected by acclamation the following year. He, therefore, wins his second election at the national level after heading the Montreal Section for many years.
David MacFarlane was filling the position of National Secretary by interim in replacement of Sébastien Fleurant from Montreal. Hailing from Edmonton, David, a pioneer at APS, was beforehand sitting as Director for the West since the beginning of the Association.
As for Pascal Baczyk, this is a second term as National Treasurer. But for him, the job location has switched from Moncton to Montreal and his citizenship status has also changed from French to Canadian.
Congratulations to the three National Officers for their elections to fulfill their two-year mandates!
